February 2025:

I have been experimenting with Finite Difference Simulations of the 2D
wave equation to model the propagation of sound waves in an
inhomogeneous medium. I wrote a Python script [1] to implement this
simulation. This project originated from my participation in the Art
and Science conference at CERN. There is also an interactive
JavaScript version available on this server [2].
